In people's impression, glass is a fragile and transparent material, and because the fragments are sharp and easy to hurt people, the safety is not strong. However, with the development of science and technology, people can not only make full use of the natural advantages of glass but also adjust its performance to make up for its shortcomings. For example, recycled mosaic relies on multiple small pieces of glass to be pasted into a large surface, which not only enhances the strength but also makes the decoration effect better. Many families want to use recycled mosaics to decorate indoor walls, so we will introduce the construction steps and precautions of recycled mosaics in this article to avoid any problems encountered during construction.
The following is a list of contents:
Grassroots treatment
Bouncing grid
Wipe the bonding layer
Squeegee closed seam
Paving recycled mosaic
Sew
Tear paper
Close the seam twice and wash
Clean the loose concrete, mortar, and other debris on the wall, make up the feet, hands, and eyes, and water the damp wall. The layering should be leveled with cement mortar. The mortar should be slapped firmly and flattened with a scraper against the grain surface, and then rubbed with a wooden trowel. The yin and yang angles must be applied vertically, squarely, and evenly. In case of dry weather, water should be sprayed to maintain the grassroots.
If the recycled mosaic is designed with horizontal and vertical division seams, it can generally be calculated according to the size of each unit is 308mm×380mm, the gap between the units is 2mm, and the typesetting module is 310mm. The size of each small mosaic is about 18 mm×18 mm, the gap between the particles is 2 mm, and the paving modulus of each particle can be 20 mm. For the wall between the windows, if the mantissa after the size row is completely connected cannot be divisible by 20 mm, the last row of recycled mosaics cannot be rowed down and can only be adjusted through the slits.
Sprinkle the wall leveling layer with damp water, brush the plain cement slurry once, and then wipe the recycled mosaics bonding layer with the brush.
Spread the adhesive surface of the recycled mosaic on a wooden board, use an iron trowel to scrape the cement slurry into the gaps of the recycled mosaics, and after the gaps are filled, scrape a layer of cement slurry bonding layer of one to two millimeters thick on the surface. If white or light-colored recycled mosaics are laid, the bonding layer and joint grout should be prepared with white cement.
When you wait to press the bonding layer with your hand and leave only a clear fingerprint print, you can paste the recycled mosaics. When pasting the recycled mosaics, answer the quasi-divided line and proceed from top to bottom, leaving a gap of 2 mm between the plates.
The cement paste is movable when it is not set, and the recycled mosaic will drop a little under its weight after being put on the wall; because the gap between the joints and the joints is also prone to deviation, therefore, after paving the recycled mosaic, you should use a wooden clapper to drive the joints. And make adjustments.
Soak the paper pasted with recycled mosaics, and after soaking and dissolving the glue, tear off the pasted paper. When tearing the paper, the direction of force should be parallel to the wall, otherwise, the recycled mosaic particles will be easily torn off.
After the paper is torn, the recycled mosaic particles are exposed. At this time, a cement slurry is used to squeegee to close the joints to avoid gaps due to incomplete gaps. For gaps that are not straight, the seams should be drawn so that they are horizontal and vertical. For the particles that have been moved, the wooden board should be tapped to make it adhere firmly. After the seam is closed for 10-20 minutes, use a brush dipped in water to scrub the recycled mosaics 3 times, and finally rinse once with clean water.
